Please include citations with all of these articles. I’m not picky about format, but I think it A) shows journalistic integrity and B) allows those of us who wish to look at the original research to do so. Thank you!
Stop saying a normal life, it is not. In accepting that when you are diagnosed HIV Positive your life is forever changed, allows for greater acceptance.I have been documented HIV positive for 32 years now. The test came out in 1985 I was diagnosed 1986 . I am a positive realist, for years we were given a 10 years less life expectancy than our HIV negative peers. Why are you acting like 1 year is news worthy? In reality I don’t want your 9 years.

I know it’s politically correct to pass the “just as long” line out as if it’s true, but it’s a joke, as evidenced by the numerous articles on this website citing serious health consequences of being HIV positive. Compromised health is almost always a life shortener.
