I switched to Biktarvy to get on the "safer Truvada TAF" and it made me gain a bunch of weight and gave me wonky liver numbers. Had to go back on Complera and everything went back to normal. Your doctor is there to guide you and watch your numbers. If something doesn't work try a new regimen and don't be afraid to make a change.

There is an old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it." That's been my and my doc's action plan for some years now. I am a LTS, and after (over the years) many tries, mostly successes, as well as a few failures), the pretty simple regime I follow today works. I'll stick with it...until it doesn't. It IS nice to know that newer options continue to appear.
