I'm confused. If the partner study showed no infections in two years if one person is undetectable then where are these infection rates coming from? It's time to scrap the partner PrEP study. It is now obsolete unless having sex with partners who aren't suppressed. I'm really getting the feeling that POZ isn't the best source of information any more when they put articles like this in that are inaccurate given known current info.

cmax - It seems you're confusing two different studies. The PARTNER study is an ongoing trial involving mixed-HIV status couples that looks at the effectiveness of the HIV-positive person taking meds to prevent transmission (while also lowering viral load). The Partners PrEP study, which was published in 2012, involved mixed-HIV status heterosexual couples but looked at the effectiveness of the HIV-negative person taking PrEP to lower transmission risk.
