AHF PAYS STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS CASH $$ TO PROTEST

In addition to the questions and problems mentioned by the other commenters, I want to know who these protesters are. I'd wager they are simply AHF employees, since no AIDS activist worth their salt would ever be marching for AHF. Also, there's the laughable criticism AHF makes against the new contractors: that they're for-profit. AHF's non-profitability is a tax-dodge, not altruism.

Merely because it's AHF, the story is suspect. It has a long history of playing fast and loose with the facts, an agenda based more on its real estate investments than helping ppl living with HIV, its CEO"s personal vendettas, and hostile takeovers of non-profits. POZ's credibility just dropped.

The author reports an activity, a Medicaid vendor that lost its contract, without providing any meaningful information on which to base an informed opinion on the issue. Your essay is being sent back for re-write. Please describe: 1. AHF performance in providing services to its 2,000 patients since 1999 2. Why is Florida dissatisfied with AHF's performance? 3. How do AHF client's rate its service? 4. Reason(s) Florida gave for choosing new vendor? 5. Was contracting process followed?
