Beautiful woman, amazingly intelligent. What a refreshing contrast to everyone from Katie Couric to Anderson Cooper!
I knew there was a reason I fell in love with Rachael! What an amazing story and I was so moved by her tribute to Marty Delaney, never knowing she had been in the fight with so many others of us back in the early days of the epidemic. What an amazingly kind and passionate individual she is and how her activism helped shape her journey. A truly great American story and my heroine!

A well written and informative article on the background of someone who is frequently seen but not always understood. Her persona is complicated, and your article concisely lets us all 'catch up' to what makes Ms. Maddow the insightful commentator that she is, and from where she came.
