JP - Just in case you didn't know, a microbicide is intended to prevent HIV.
This is NOT an HIV or AIDS related topic. It is strictly an anal sex lubricant article. It doesn't have anything to do with safe sex, or the prevention of spreading STD's. It should be labeled as an advertisement, if that is what this is; or, removed.
can vaginal microbicide e used to protect HV negative men in a sexual relationship with an HIV positive woman? If "no" are studes in progress?

Okay, this is confusing me. The article says they had participants insert the cream daily. To me, that sounds like dosing. Is that what they're doing, delivering a pre-exposure prophylaxis by renal absorption? Or is it not supposed to be absorbed at all, because how otherwise could you control the amounts administered? The person who has sex several times within a day would likely receive an excess while the person who bottoms only on rare occasions would be reluctant to follow the protocol.
