While I had heard about this interview in 1985, I had never seen it until just now (thank God for YouTube). For a young man, Steve is so eloquent, so well spoken. And Tammy Faye conducted a passionate, pioneering interview broadcast to a conservative Christian audience--mind-boggling in 1985. I would love to know if Steve ever met Tammy in person.

I’m happy to have reviewed the YouTube interview of Ms. Bakker interviewing Mr. Pieters 36 years ago. I learned that Tammy Faye wasn’t gushing makeup while blubbering on TV. And the interview showed such humanity not previously revealed.
