I believe this is a step in the right direction. I don't believe in criminalizing HIV. The other person is just as responsible for asking their partner if they are positive, and/or taking just as much responsibility for protecting themselves from HIV. Nobody will divulge their status if they think they will go to jail for having sex with someone. Protecting oneself from HIV is a two way street.
