He transmitted a life-ending virus to a child. He knew he was infected, and didn't care. This isn't one of those horror stories about a hookup or relationship gone wrong. No broken condom. The girl shouldn't have reasonably "known better" to protect herself. He basically murdered a kid. Read the link. He's a predator and deserves his punishment. The question is why these stories get the most attention, instead of all the more nuanced instances where we get the book thrown at us.

I think the punishment is OUTRAGEOUS. Was the guy a sexual predator or just careless and selfish? That is a LIFETIME, almost.
