A complete analysis would include people who do not qualify for Medicaid and who previously had insurance with HIV who can longer afford insurance because of the ACA. The best option for me this year was thousands of dollars in premiums for the year, a $7,500 deductible and I would still have to pay 50% of my "specialty" drug prescriptions. Grand total for 2017 would have been more than $35,000 just to be able to say I am covered. No thanks.
