The Siouxland Urology Center in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, has been ordered to notify thousands of former patients who might have been exposed to HIV, hepatitis C and other blood-borne illnesses, All Headline News reports.

According to the article, after conducting a routine check in January, inspectors discovered employees reusing saline bags, tubing and scopes used to probe the lower urinary tract. The center is required to contact the more than 6,000 former patients who have been treated since 2002 and request that they undergo blood tests.
