I was first diagnosed in 1986. I moved to San Francisco in 88 - 92. I moved back to Ohio in 92. I have always had friends as a support group. I decided even back then I wasn't going to let HIV become my life. I have never been depressed from it I got on with my Life traveling to Europe & Canada taking my meds. I live like anyone with out it.
Thank You, Tim Murphy, for this article. I learned about organizations that I was not aware of for LTS.....I might reach out to a few....and some peeps.

I have been positive since at least 1985, am now 72. No depression, no feeling sorry for myself and only my partner shared this information until 1995. I sought out the best doctors, took care of myself and did not dwell on my diagnosis. I did not let it rule me. Worked very hard at my job, made good insurance a priority, retired at 48 with a great disability plan, and live off money I saved and invested before I retired. Now, I am comfortably waiting out COVID at my lake house. No regrets.
