I am on Medicare now and I never dreamed I would live this long. My viral Load has been undetectable for close to 20 years. My concern would be the cost. While working my insurance paid. Retired that was no longer the case. Now the only thing I have to do is deal with the availability of the medication. That would be my concern.

Soon as I ran across the Cabenuva article I immediately contacted my Dr and told her I was interested. It took awhile cause at first it wasn’t available in my area and on top of that my insurance didn’t cover it. My Dr worked her magic and I was approved. The first 2 doses went well it wasn’t uncomfortable as others complained about. Now, I’m waiting to do labs at the end of the month hopefully things are going well so I can ditch the pills. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. ????????????????????

I am an over the road truck driver and I do not keep the same schedule every day. Sometimes I’m up at 2 AM and other times I’m going to sleep at 2 AM, so two shots every two months is a lot easier because I always forget to take my meds.

My daily pill regimen is a bit of a bear for two reasons: I have gained weight on Biktarvy (Dovato, currently), and I worry about the strain on my organs daily digesting pharmaceuticals. Although, having a 3 month supply sitting at my disposal takes the obsessing of scheduling, keeping, and following up with appointments-all of which have nothing to do with the injections themselves; yet, my personal responsibility. Still, I am excited about injectibles as an advancement toward a cure!

Does anyone know BlueCross authorizes this?

I'd love the idea of 2 shots every other month. I've rarely kept an exact schedule. When I was working it would be before 8am and when I had a day off or was unemployed, maybe by noon or not at all. Add in that I'd get depressed and I go days/weeks without. So far I've had some elevated numbers but never too bad not to get back on track. I commend you for making it your priority to never miss. Thanks for the inspiration!

Josh I to go to the same location and I am on my 2nd year of injections. Love my doctor there and thankfully my insurance covers this. I’m looking forward to when it goes every 6 months!
