His cuts don't "preserve aids funding"! They slashed the NIH budget by 20%. This is going to be catastrophic towards progress for a cure, new treatments and management of complications. I realize that this magazine wants nothing more than to see every single person with HIV chained to this virus until we die, but even POZ must understand that there's more to life with HIV than getting existing drugs in bodies. Please take a more holistic view to the needs of your readers!
