I was diagnosed in 1984 with HIV, it progressed to AIDS in 1986, from 1986 and 1996 I buried four partners, I lost most of my friends in my community, at my lowest point my CD4 count was 7 with a viral load of over 800,000.00, I lost my job, my home, and the standard of living I was accustomed to, was reduced to relying on non-profit organizations to offer me assistance in food, clothing, and rental assistance, I faced major legal battles with each passing of my partners. Today I'm undectable.

Love what Matt has written, except the time line, there were other activists already working in the issues of HIV LONG TERM SURVIVORS before 2013, and is very important to acknowledge the people that have done things for my community. Otherwise, excellent work,
