i recall no attempts to make Test And Treat the SOLE strategy for HIV-prevention anywhere. it's only ever been suggested as a supplement to current prevention strategies, yet unfortunately it's attacked by many who feel that it would somehow undermine the use of condoms, the choosing of lower-risk sex practices and limiting the number of sexual partners. NEWSFLASH...those strategies will never be universally adopted. Test And Treat ADDS, it's not meant to REPLACE. it WORKS, so it HELPS.
a full third of all poz patients in the usa would still have detectable viral loads? am i ever glad i have hiv in canada, been fully undetectable for over 6 years now.

Only 19 percent have an undectable viral load points to either a large number not on treatment, poor access to drugs, a large number undiagnosed, low adherence or maybe the meds are just not as good as they keep bragging them up to be. This article just raises a lot of questions and gives no solution. Test and treat has resulted in dropping new diagnosis in Canada and other nations. The few people you treat, the more people are going to get the bug. Simple.
