Can you direct ne to more info? 3 years since my system crashed, and I have rebounded very well back to normal weight and work out levels..Iagtrogrnic disease is my concern. I pitched the idea of reducing medication since my stability And my blood work is back to normal. Response was not possible that this medication doesn’t work that way. I’m on Truvada, Ritonavir and Duranavir. And I want to pitch the idea again with supporting documents. HIV contamination, I’m hetro and no drug use. TY
since 2009 I've had various negative side effects. When taking atripla nightmares, always tired, night sweats, - Complara was great but my kidneys started having problems,- odefsey acedosis , terrible headaches, always sleeping, no ability to concentrate, sharp body pains, so now I'm on triumeq I get tired and cognitive function is effected but not bad. when I take a day off I feel amazing I have tried day on day off and stayed undetectable. Will keep trying Trimming method. Quality of life!
I and my partner have been taking half doses of all singular and combo treatments from the beginning, nearly 30 years hence and I attribute our good health, lack of opportunistic infections and numerous illnesses associated with side effects of some more notorious early drugs to that smart decision. It is nice to know that we are not alone. I always thought of an untold damage pills designed for the maximum effectiveness caused many HIV positive guys with small stature, just to name one reason.
Under guidance from my doctor, went 1 day on, 1 day off for over 2 years, negatively impacted my cognitive thinking over time but viral load remained undetectable. Switched to 6 day on, 1 day off, no negative impacts to thinking, undetectable viral load. My advise, be very careful and consult with your doctor. Do not try this on your own.
The Leibowitch study is published and available free online, they saw some virological failures and increasing blips with 3 day/wk and 2 day/wk dosing. They don't evaluate low-level viremia below 50 copies. They've also just published some drug level data from the study (open access) but it's very difficult to interpret. Thank you for sharing this. I've wondered for a long time about this. The pills are large and powerful, my intuition has been that Big Pharma is over dosing us. Brave soul keep on trucking.
I am very excited about this article for yrs I have been taking my meds every other day and have remained undetectable n tcells as high as 1350...I did this on my own as I am afraid of lingterm affects also.I also take truvada...this is wonderful to hear..ty for sharing ur story

Great article, congrats... I hope we are close to get a mid-solution with another combination of new drugs that are on trials (ABX464, etc..) to avoid damage on liver and kidneys.. cheers from mexico
