The language used in the nature.com article is disgraceful "HIV-infected individuals" Anyhow, a minority of people suppressing HIV without meds or after stopping meds isn't new but good to see they are getting to understand the how & why better.
So much for U = U. Such a person on non-med control cannot reliably be said to be undetectable between tests.

The title of this article is misleading. If someone who is HIV+ stops meds they will eventually get sick with AIDS, opportunistic infections, and get infected with other strains of HIV, but other strain infection will happen if they are on meds and do it BB. U=U is misleading as well, as undetectable poz people can infect others or get infected with new strains of HIV. Prep does not work all the time.
