A health ministry report claims that Uganda has run out of most antiretroviral (ARV) medications, HIV testing kits, meds for opportunistic infections and critical diagnostic tools for HIV care, IRIN reports. The ministry claims that requests for assistance had been sent to the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. It appears demand is outpacing supply.
