I am 50, have HIV, and have been undetectable for 21+ years. The only caveats to this great news are 1) those who have it and assume they don't, 2) those who *claim* to be undetectable, but are either lying or, 3) those who *were* genuinely undetectable, but became infectious due to a mutation they haven't been told of yet. After reading the news of the 89,000, plus 2, lol, … U=U, my mind and spirit, my blood feels cleaner for the very first time since 86, back in the days of false hopes, back when we would say, "Here for the cure" back when so many were lost, I do think of those whom have been lost, so I will take this news as good news, for it has helped me to get up, it has motivated me, I will live as it is another stepping stone that gets us closer to the cure, because I want to be here for the cure !
