The Walgreens Community Pharmacy in the Bronx, New York, is one of five in New York City chosen for a study on rapid HIV testing, NY1 reports. Researchers at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine found that retail pharmacies could give rapid testing and diagnosis. Trained health advocates administer the test, provide HIV education and give the results. About 30 people a week are tested at the Walgreens pharmacy.
