There is another group who is largely ignored. I am a 65 year old transgender woman who has been living with my HIV diagnosis since 1984. Not only are older trans women (and trans men) ignored by the general public in favor of hearing the stories of younger trans persons, even POZ ignores long term transgender survivors. I understand that younger trans girls are big news and older trans persons are "old" news (pun intended), but older trans persons lives matter. Our stories are HUGE!
