Bruce McGuire i agree with u 100%.It has become so scary for us,like it wasnt already bad, but now everytime we are hearing how we are a deadly weapon. Its outrageous, how they treat us. The fear now has me(when i disclose my status which i always have)i disclose, they give me their answer on the computer and i copy and save that, in case someone wants to come out later on and say that i never told.We have to cover our asses because of people like this.and YES it sucks but we have to protect US!!

Leave this alone!! Why does the world community just send all people with HIV to a colony upon diagnoses of it. I am HIV Positive, Sexually Active and I live in FEAR of being WRONGLY accused of infecting someone. I am upfront and tell them "I am TOXIC". I prefer to have sex without a condom. This just promotes the "criminalization" of HIV positive people. The world is on a witch hunt!

why I it then HIV is always associated with criminal activity.. take for instance the flight attendent that got drunk and took twoo beers and slid down the emergency escape chute. he has HIV. Don't you thibk that us as HIV pos peeps have it hard enough. with stigma. Having HIV isn't a defense to break the law and be irresponsible. Don't you think

I agree with the comments below that this is a non-news item. Allegations don't make facts. It seems as if any possible thing that can be perceived by the public as negative, proven or not, is being brought out against Mr. Assange in an effort to stifle him. It is especially appalling that the phrase "did something to break it" with respect to using a condom should even be considered as something noteworthy. Condoms are not 100% reliable and this could be caused by any sex act by anyone.

Yes, this is news, if we want to prevent people who purposedly infect others from doing this evil crime we need to tell the world this will and shall never be tolerated, until it happens to you, a loved one, .you will care that honesty dies matter!

Why is this news? I don't understand why Poz.com would report on something so vague. Any person can claim that they were assaulted and that the other person may or may not have HIV. Come on, this is the kind of thing that keeps the stigma going even in our own community. Even if he was positive, the story should NOT be about that, it should be about what he did and the fact is no one knows and he has not been tried in court yet. Stop feeding in the trougth of misguidance. Get real stories!

Both women asked him to get HIV test and he refused, and they had sex with him anyway? It sounds to me like the women had a dose of stupid poured into thier morning coffee.
