A "youth" who puts $30k to $50k of HIV drugs on his/her parent's employer's healthcare plan will soon have an unemployed parent(s) and no HIV drugs. We need clinical trials that pit generics against brand name drugs, and shorter patent periods. We need single payer healthcare in America. We need a cure. We need Euphorbia peplus extract, and other compounds, tested as part of a kick-and-kill strategy.

I read the statement "Having a lower viral load when linked to care was associated with a 1.56-fold increased likelihood of being virally suppressed for every 10-fold decrease in viral load." Does this "decrease" reference an arbitrary worst case viral load? A "decrease" implies treatment. 25 years of treatment trials have shown that the patients who enter a trial with the lowest viral loads do better than those with higher viral loads. Studies with healthier patients produce better drugs!
