I take several HIV suppressant drugs (as a "long-term survivor"), plus a few others for "regular" conditions such as depression, blood pressure and lipds control, etc. My drug costs are covered through Medicare and other federal and state programs, and I know that the total bill hovers between $90-$100k per year. Reducing and/or eliminating these subsidies would, for me, be a death sentence since there is no way I could or can sustain that level of payment for critical drugs; resist!
