I'm glad you're adjusting to New York. I've never lived there, but I did drive tractor-trailer to make deliveries there many times. It was always a nightmare for me getting in and out of the city. Heavy traffic, narrow streets, low bridges, tight loading docks, shady characters climbing onto your running boards, heavy padlock on your trailer doors...oh the joys of NYC...lol

Yes, I have noticed that. It kind of irks me that people can be that way. But I refuse to have the "when in Rome do as the Romans do" attitude you know. I think being polite and an act of kindness can go a long way.

Oh my, Kizzy. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or what? The thread is called Adusting but I love NY? And I have encountered rush hour and that was not what I was basing my opinions on. But Goddess bless you anyways.

And have you notice that you see the same people at the same place at the same time every day and they wont even acknolodge your existence. No good morning, no hi, or even a smile. I love the city but there's no denying it's very impersonal. Then again, this is one of the prices we pay for living here.

There are tons of great New Yorkers with manners. However, if you are talking about rush hour 1) most of the people bumping you may be from NJ and CT AND 2) deal with it; that's the price we pay for living in a commuter city.
