I’ve personally taken a year + off of the grid of HIV prevention and empowerment because I found myself getting angry with “Gods people” aka YOU, YOU AND YOU! The church ridiculed me because I openly talked about having sex with men and women. The church platformed me and them watched me struggle to pay for rent, medicine and at times food and declared it GODS WILL TO STRUGGLE.  The world rejected me because I held my head up high, giving God all the credit for my inner healing and peace. Where did it leave me? Alone with God who promised to never leave me nor forsake me.

The church has taken on the character of the Ku Klux Klan toward homosexuality. What about using this same vigor toward the lack of knowledge or poverty? To the alpha “heterosexual” man who finds homosexuality disgusting but has anal sex with his girl because the hole is tighter-- Sir have several seats.   And lastly to the uninformed religious church the opposite of homosexuality is not heterosexuality its holiness.

On average a person has about 25,000 days to live (70 yrs old)---add your age +365=(days of living). With the rates of HIV/AIDS and the lack of support I’m seeing young black men have life spans less than 10,950 days (30 yrs old).--------->>>This hit HOME for me because in less than 19days I will be entering into day 10,950.

Most of us believe that what we are speaking is aligned with speaking life, but little of us know that we speak more about the divide than the divine. What the world needs is HOPE! Undaunted HOPE, savory HOPE, flavorful HOPE, high 5’s and hugs HOPE.  If this post made you uncomfortable GOOD. Welcome to the HUMAN portion of HIV.  It doesn’t feel good but with work, change of perspective and communication---things go on the UP and UP.

HIV/AIDS is a global issue---- I’d like to submit these following questions to you:

What does HOPE mean to you?

What does Helping Other People Evolve mean to you?

What is your vision of HOPE when you think about HIV/AIDS and the black community?

Do you have HOPE for yourself?

My hope is that you will join my “HOPE is...” Lifestyle movement by answering these basic questions. HIV/AIDS or not I know after reading the above...you’re wondering...man...WHAT DOES HOPE MEAN TO ME?

As for me HOPE means HELPING OTHER PEOPLE EVOLVE....In love.

Be well. Know your status. If you are infected, take care of yourself mentally and physically, no one else will.
