Peace, Love, and free healthcare for everyone. Yes it would be nice, but unfortunately in the real world there is a thing called the law of supply and demand. It has been rumored that Democrats would like to repeal this law. I think most Dems do believe in the law of supply and demand but they buy votes from the poor and uneducated by selling the notion that the law does not exist. Very sad. On another note I would like to say I have had wonderful success with abstinence,I have not infected anyone in the 20 years I have known of my status. I refuse to believe that humans can't control their actions and that individuals are not responsible for their own actions. As a parent I can tell you my kids knew about HIV and how not to get long before they even knew what sex was. Fucking weird. Now as a parent of a teacher I can also tell you kids know how to avoid getting HIV. What most here refuse to understand is that it takes time for people to change. No amount of taxpayer dollars is gonna change that. People will start having safe sex when they see their friends and people they know dying or struggling with hiv. What do you consider more addicting,sex or tobacco? I think sex is probably more addictive. Look how long it took for people to cut back on smoking,in fact there are still people out there killing themselves everyday of week,even though people know it kills. Government throwing money at prevention only works for so long and in the end people change habits so they can live,not because of Fed meddling or free rubbers.
