Like myself, my doctor also believes "someday" there will be a cure. But, my concern at what price ? At the moment the meds are incredibly expensive....My daily pill costs $1,700 per month, luckily(?) I have insurance from my employer and my monthy payment is over $300 !

I pray for a cure for this disease I think procedures like mentioned above will provide a cure and we need to try things and take risks However I think this idea with cord blood was tried before in europe (where I am from) With a patient in Holland http://www.foxnews.com/health/2012/06/07/doctors-turn-to-cord-blood-transplants-in-hopes-curing-patients-with-hiv/ There was meant to be word at Christmas but so far I havent heard anything However I do wish him and your son all the best
