I’m sorry I only now saw this important article. I say important because trauma is “the” unaddressed issue underlying HIV risk behavior among HIV-negative gay/bi men and the cause of many HIV-poz folks’ not adhering to their treatment regimens. First we have to address trauma, as this article says. That is the starting point for the healing we need to choose behaviors that will not put us at risk if we’re HIV-negative, and that will keep us undetectable and healthy if we’re HIV-positive.
