Jay, I first began to follow your blog when you lived in Boston. I, too, reconnoitered Cambridge on Ellery Street, off Mass Av; my local was "The Plow And Stars," back in the 80s. Then there was The U Of I (Iowa City) much earlier than you,and with its fond memories, especially the Union and the beautiful campus. Now I reside in Minneapolis and travel yearly to the Subcontinent and S.E. Asia, mostly Delhi and Punjab and, of course, my beloved Bangkok. A question, Jay: Is this your second go-around in Iowa City at the Writer's Workshop? Seem to recall, hazily, you were there after Harvard (?), or maybe I am mistaken. Anyway, I enjoy your blog and am curious if you've published yet. Best Wishes. -Jim

Nice blog. I can relate as a woman living with HIV. Diagnosed in 2003, I now help educate and support those living with HIV. I have an hiv/aids support group called hiv/aids poz love.

It seems like it takes a particularly special set of circumstances to know some things for sure -- a date of infection, for example, or a date of conception. You are setting up the story well, my friend.
