"What about the cure?" Well, herpes was never cured. So, HIV isn't the only thing that hasn't been cured. Also, the second comment lacks insight into the meaning of the first. The second commenter judging it as "appalling" shows this.
I mean, what about a cure? There's more to "ending the epidemic" than preventing new infections and enabling self-destructive avoidance of treatment. Also, the existing comment here is appalling.
The current paradigm is that "Endng the Epidemic" globally will only happen if people with HIV believe in and adhere to the "Treatment as Prevention" paradigm... If people stop believing in it and stop adhering to it then will coercion be used to get them to take the pills? If people refuse to be tested will they be coerced, too?

First comment ignored the author’s concerns about reducing people with HIV to bodies who need to be controlled with medication And instead described us as bodies that need to be controlled with medication. It also put the responsibility of ending the epidemic on folks with HIV which, sorry/not sorry, is appalling. Not sure why that wasn’t self evident, but I can’t spell everything out. These comments don’t allow for lengthy periods of handholding to explain why some perspectives are wrong.
