Hey Rob, I'm sorry to hear you've had health concerns lately, and somewhat of a culture shock in returning home. Here's to getting better and, hopefully, finding some new friends soon once you're able to be out and about more. As far as you're sister's birthday dilemma, well... they called me Mr. Solutions when I was a kid... be warned, I was always popular until me and my friends ended up in detention.... So here's how you play it. You plan to take your sister out for her birthday to this very cool coffee shop you heard about. When you arrive around 8 pm, say, "Ow wow, I didn't know they did live music here..." Just play dumb, I'll follow suit and your sister will be none the wiser! :O) Starlight Cafe btw is owned by the coolest lesbians (Carri and Julie, good friends) that Lynchburg has ever seen. It's a very cool environment, and a very nice coffee shop: they are welcoming to all patrons. If you're a mocha addict like me, you gotta find Starlight. Also, the show is running from (doors at 7) 8 until midnight, so we'll be there for a bit after the set hanging out. So feel free to swing by, would love to meet ya!

Hey Shawn, I like your music. I can't believe that you are coming here to Lynchburg. I grew up here during the 80's, I didn't like it much then. I just moved back to Lynchburg this past March due to health/hiv related issues. It's been a big adjustment. It's much different now. Most of the friends or people that I knew then have either moved away or have died. And there is very little gayness here in the L-burg. So I have been a little discouraged in the fun department. I haven't been able to look for work yet, I haven't gotten my health back yet for a work environment. So I am excited that you are coming here, I am going to do my best to try and come to see you. My dilemma is that it's on the same day as my sister's birthday and she has requested to me for her to have a party. So it might be difficult to work around her to come to your show. If I can't make it to your show I wish all the success. I am sure the music biz is not easy, especially when you have such a narrow market to work in. I hope to see your show! So Cheers! Good Luck! A new fan Rob
