First article I've read in Poz in years that actually seemed to have a clue. No, breaking us off into a separate gay caste is not going to make things better, regardless of how much easier it is in the short term or how much it panders to the expectations of the negative readership this magazine courts.. Segregation by any other name is still segregation, even when it happens on our phones. It's also a terrible prevention strategy, and it puts us all at greater risk of marginalization.

I'm from San Francisco. I was arranging a hook up with a 48 year old guy and he asked my status and when i said i am poz undectable. He said it was a deal breaker. Gay men are just as clueless and uneducated on what it means today for transmission or poz. And people like him rather see a neg test date or neg staus on apps. It's a false sense of security for neg guys to only want other neg guys. And of course neg guys don't lie about their status anyway. Even guys on prep only want neg guys. O
