Thank you regan for your inspiring story and the work you and your sister are doing. I was diagnosed in May 2011 and remember that day so very well and the immense fear I felt. It cost me the woman I was to marry, not to mention my physical and mental health. It has now been over a year and I have put my life back together and enjoy a circle of friends and family who have wrapped me in love and safety, and even have a new relationship with a woman who is very supportive in every way, but most of all, makes me feel that I am a man. She doesn't see the virus, but see's me, the man for who I am. My fiancee could not see past it even though she was a ER nurse. I dont fault her for ending the relationship and our life together. Considering where my life is now, I am better off and even happier than I have been in many years. As a retired US Navy veteran with tours to Iraq & afganistan, I feel just like the warrior I once was. Only now, the enemy I fight is inside me. Your story truly inspired me and I can't say "THANKS" enough. Best Wishes and a "Hi V" to you.

I too had a problem with the term army, for about two minutes, until the trama of the past of seeing my many friends die and suffer humiliation from some social groups or an army of haters,as I ask for forgiveness and not to return hate with hate.I hope they forgive me and i forgive truly forgive them for I know it is an express of fear and dealing with their on sexualities and mistakes ,for we all all human. For me Poz army is for the couragous and in this army of love to address principles with hope for change. Our weapons are the praying, the pen, the computer, and acts of love, for the battle is not against people, it is against the principles that can hurt poz people and in some sence can distort us,by hated comments, non compassion, lack of excess to a joyful life, and lack of action to hope for a Cure for AIDS. Poz army is about hope and freedom. Again two women taking the lead in this movment to let HIVers know that some have not forgot them and many are still building on hope , faith and direction of a AIDSfree world and growing in love ,prayer, forgiveness and action. I want to invite men to enlist in the POZ Army to protect the women and children from a life time of stima that can kill,we need your gifts and talents in this movment of love, to ask our global civil socially leaders, citizens ,faith groups and the many in need of our loving actions to help and unite in action and to hear our cries to stop this war of hatred and free God's people.

Hi Regan, sister of one of my very favorite women. This is a stirring and well written piece. I love the billboard, and it says worlds about where we have come in acknowledging that sexually transmitted diseases can happen to anyone who is informed or not about the need to be informed! Afterall the innocent "good" girls and boys are as vulnerable, or more so than the streetwise. Here is to Ass kicking!!. You have done a fabulous job with POZ and your efforts to inform the masses. Congratulations and health. Blessings, Lara

You ARE a best friend! I am so very proud to call you one of mine. This piece is beautiful, Regan. I wish I could see the billboard in person, but I expect a full report.
