Oh I see, no vulgarity. Okay, let's try this again. You dismiss the interview because??? I think I know the answer. Bill Maher was dismissed and shown to be an irrelevant idiot. And you? I think so too.

I have not seen the interview for I spend most of my time living in the joy of my life and faith works, how ever it sounds like a set-up for a new reality TV show. I still like Charlie and his works and hope in prayer for him to find peace and joy in his journey. It is going to be interesting to watch this unfold, for clearly it is siring up the pot within the old and new HIV industry and consumers in hope with a bit of angry too. I think a lot of the RX fanciers might check out the History of the RX business, for many bio explorers went into the jungles of Mexico and beyond to mingle with the witch doctors and culture at hand in hopes of finding a plant for cures of many illness and for a profit too, check out an old book called Green Medicine. You may be surprised how these free tinkers and good health advocates took a wise tale from old cultures to bring forth medicine in bulk for health and for profit, in building the modern RX business today. Not a surprise to me that a reality show may come into the TV arena in a Search for Cure of HIV, with Charlie hosting the contestants. I do find it interesting that if a person has hopes and action to stray off the Religion of HIV medicine that they are called a denialist or unbeliever and when the RX companies do human experiments in looking for a cure, it is called good medicine. Einstein, would say "to never stop questioning" and that doesn't make one an denialist of HIV infection to question and experiment in a search for a Cure for HIV. Let the games begin in this conversation and actions and my God unveil the Cure for HIV to the masses soon, I pray.

THANK YOU, MARK. I really had high hopes for Charlie. I'm too optimistic, I guess. His hubris and desire to be special aren't going to help him.

I have also been a lucky 30 year survivor. I had a double by-pass, and one of my arteries has closed because of the meds, also found out that I have Non-Alcoholic fatty liver disease, which is also known as cirrhosis of the liver. I need to drop some weight and watch my diet. I have found out that it was also caused by the years of meds. I still would go back and do things the same, always stay on the meds. Yes there were side affects of the meds, but some of us had to make the sacrifice to make things easier for the newbies. I thought I would learn something new from watching Dr.Oz, but I did not, except how to be an arrogant asshole. Charlie is going to definitely be another Amy Winehouse, and I do not feel sorry for him, he has the money to have the best medical care available and he chose to go to some witch doctor, instead of more specialist. I hope that he wakes up before it is too late, but after what the Dr's told him on the show, he needs to do it sooner. So Good Luck Carlos(Charlie), you will need it with that attitude. Everyone else please stay on top of things, and do what the doctors tell you to do. Much love.

i didn't see the show, coming from the UK, but from all the reports I've read I think it would have been a terrible interview if it hadn't been for the punchline - which was his VL spiking and him having to agree that the alternative treatment didn't work. Do I blame Charlie for trying? No, not really. He has money and fame, and would naturally like to be 'the one' who stumbles upon some form of cure. That, despite this 'treatment' he was still getting bloods monitored at least gives an indication there was *some* sort of medical awareness going on, which is more than countless people who have forfeited HIV or Cancer medication in the past have shown. I do wish he would quit 'chasing' a cure though, and instead use his profile to help the stigma surrounding the condition. And the best way he could do that is to actually push HIV into the background, meaning....keep up the acting, get on a quality comedy TV show again and have people in the future talk about him without mentioning HIV. That would be a huge filip in the public perception which unfortunately still equates HIV with death and gaunt patients in AIDS wards, rather than the very manageable (albeit serious) condition it now is.

Anyone that expected better of Dr. Oz or Charlie Sheen hasn't been paying attention. Oz's show is atrocious and bears little resemblance to the science we learn in school. And Charlie is like an ADHD adult who cannot focus for more than 5 minutes on anything that isn't himself. Every time we get a high-profile celebrity in HIV treatment, we expect some kind of media miracle. If we would quit looking for an HIV messiah we could spend more time on our own healthcare. I feel for Sheen, I really do. I know what I and my partner went through in the late 80's as we tried to revamp our lives to include meds more than once a day, healthier meals, and hiding our status from our jobs and families. Eventually, you get through all of that and begin coping with your newly changed life. But that was 27 years ago for me, and I don't have the time or patience to watch Sheen go through all the steps publicly.

Okay, the only TV doctors I pay any attention to are those on "Grey's Anatomy", "Saving Hope", and "Remedy", so somebody will need to fill me in; that "doctor" in Mexico, did his "cure" involve a great deal of the smoke of specific herbs, the ingestion of agave worms and their liquor, and perhaps more peyote than has even been seen since the sixties?
