In keeping with a true blog, or the official term a Web-Log: a shared on-line journal where people can post diary entries about their personal experiences and hobbies, yesterday I participated in my first protest march ? I was a protest virgin. I missed the Regan-era ACT-UP protests, because I was in high school, living in upstate New York, and I wasn’t infected with HIV. My attempt was a little half-hearted, no protest signs, and no chatting. I was going only to observe, and also walked from the Mormon Temple, on 65th and Broadway, down town with the thousands of mostly white gay guys, a few lesbian mothers, and straight supporters. We were protesting Proposition 8, which passed in California, to ban gay marriage AND the involved of the Mormon Church funding a major of the campaign for it. While I was writing this blog, my Blackberry alerted me of a new message. An HIV+ friend of mine was sending out a mass-mailing to file a complain to the IRS regarding the Mormon Church?! I just got finished forward the message to my friends and family (oh jeeze, my aunt’s a Mormon!) Yes they shouldn’t be involve in politics, yes they are hypocrites, yes yes... and YES. But I’m a non-confrontational atheist, fashion and decorating are my higher power!...lol Religion ALWAYS lead to war, and I hate being bully, and/or dead! Call me vain or insensitive, but I’m STILL fighting this uphill battle with AIDS. My teeth are almost all crowns or in need of root canals, and I will possible be fitted with a full set of dentures by the time I’m in my early forties, thanks to the liver disease for one! My face desperately needs to be fill with PMMA (appointment had been made,) Medicare Part D ’donut-hole’ is knocking an my door, and next Thursday I’m having an endoscopy to see if my blood vessel in my intestines as still dilated?! (maybe this will help my the fatigue.) Blogs to follow for all...Well, you wanted to see ?what HIV+ people are doing every day,? isn’t that why you ended up on this blog page?
