Throughout this season of Celebrity Apprentice, Lisa Lampanelli has shown that she is a very complex person. From dishing out raunchy and racy rants with fellow contestants to shedding tears of frustration and hurt feelings, she has made it very clear that the “Queen of Mean” possesses more than the one personality trait for which she is famous.  This week, following her first win (resulting from a puppet-themed task), Lisa went to deliver her winnings to Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) at the group’s headquarters in New York City, and viewers were treated to the caring, compassionate and giving side of the unpredictable comedian.

“I love sitting there and talking to people who have lived through hell and have come around because of places like GMHC,” she said of the experience. “There is this warm feeling when you come out of this place. What happens is you feel like you’re not isolated, you’re not alone, and there are other people with the same problems.”

Below, watch from 3:39 to 5:15 to see Lisa present her $20,000 check to the organization’s CEO Marjorie Hill, PhD.
