So glad you put this post out there. I just discovered U=U in February of this year. After 21years of being positive and living with constant fear of being a danger to anyone I wanted to be intimate with. I stopped relationship after another due to it. Like you mentioned it is a freedom no doubt, however the new fear is if you give the information to someone without the understanding of the other STI's possible other problems can occur. For me it was the best news ever. Thanks

I'm hiv positive for almost 4 years now... and I'm trying to survive the loneliness that comes with the disease... I have two years undetectable and I'm still afraid of dating because where I live people is very ignorant about what is HIV and what is AIDS... they don't know the difference and the stigma that comes wit it had pushed me to keep this situation hidden. Is so difficult to live alone and facing this process alone. I hope one day someone can understand that I'm not a risk for anybody

Hi Bruce and PAC; As the owner of STANDUP2HIV.com with over 2 million hits, many campaigns on Scruff, and a presence on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook Id like to congratulate you on these articles concerning U = U. It important that we understand while there is risk in ANY sexual contact with ANYONE being undetectable and keeping yourself healthy clearly lessens the chance of spreading HIV. Please visit our website and guestbook as we spread the message globally! Thank you so much! JT

Bruce you are one Hot Number! I've been poz since 86. Negative people will still consider you to be toxic even though you can't transmit HIV. And Yes they will still run the other way. I met my partner in 94 who is poz also. Together for 22 yrs. I still think it is better to be with a poz person instead. I think there is a deeper bond. A negative person could never understand.

the most important point of this, is that after the person is deemed undetectable that CONDOMS ARE STILL USED. Super strains are begining to show up around the world and some are even breaking through prep
