It's kind of nice to know how other people have dealt with this issue. Plus, if that person is a media personality, the story can take larger proportions. But, most people with AIDS aren't in this position. Most of us are everyday folks with unspectacular lives. I get the "poor rich kid syndrome" from articles like this. If I'm suppose to feel pity for someone I'll spare my emotion for all those that have had a life that's never going to make it to any front page article even in local news.
