Typical navel gazing seronegative BS. Should he ever have the misfortune to test positive, all ambiguity will immediately evaporate from his mind. I'd also warn against too much education that "it won't necessarily happen". The last thing anyone wants is for that ambiguity to metasticize into the persistent denial that "it only happens to other people" which has become so common,obnoxious and oppressive amongst white gay men.
