I am a white Mother,Daughter,Sister and Grandmother living with hiv now for 16 years. The STIGMA has been the hardest part of living with hiv, I still believe to many people believe you must be gay or a needle user. Why do so many white people hide there hiv, I have searched in my home down of Cincinnati for M.D.S.G. JUST LIKE ME LIVING WITH HIV. I was infected on February 14, 1997 from unprotected sex with a tall handsome man. sometime I feel very alone living with hiv and I think if we EDUCATED, TESTED AND SPOKE of hiv as a disease that can be spread among ANYONE, WHITE, BLACK, GAY OR STRAIGHT Thanks from a M.D.S.G. LIVING WITH HIV.

Peter, I went to summer camp @ WOHIKA as well as Peter Paradise. I think I remember you, I do remember your brother Chris. I have been touched by HIV and AIDS. Although not personally, but many of my former colleagues, most are or were ballet dancers like myself ,have been carrying the virus or have succumbed. I currently work in the medical field, and saw that in the earlier years of HIV/AIDS, the treatment, I believe, did more harm than good. Sadly, that is the history of medicine.

So only glowing testimonials survive on this blog? Interesting. Thank you for answering my question about which Peter Staley is the true one.

Hi Peter...Thanks for all your tireless work...You, Tim,Andy and other really did so much to help so many of us that would never have known what to do really to fight for ourselves...My old roommate and friend, Leslie was brilliant but also resigned to dying and he all but gave up, I guess what he witnessed was devastating. Anyway, keep on truckin' Jody
