There are fundraisers, and then there are fundraisers. We applaud all of them, of course, but grand gatherings like AIDS Walks deserve special praise.

Then there are the happenings that allow folks to savor them, such as Dining Out for Life for the masses and Life Ball for the lucky few.

And then there are fundraisers that provide a unique experience in return for your donation. A first annual fundraiser in New York City on Thursday, May 30, fits that bill.

invite_snm.jpgThe event benefits Arms Around the Child, which helps children worldwide who lost their parents to AIDS, and ACT V, a campaign that seeks to end the AIDS pandemic.

You’ll attend Sleep No More, an interactive Shakespearean theater performance at the McKittrick Hotel. VIP opening reception is at 7 p.m. and doors open at 8 p.m.
