Something should indeed be done about those who continue to believe "HIV causes AIDS" without proof of any kind. It's not the denialists who have this one wrong, I'm very sad and sorry to say, having investigated them rather than blindly accepting their arguments. Stop the bogus HIV tests, they are discrimination and the first step to death by "side effects." As one who was branded fifteen years ago, I know this issue on a personal level, not conjecture and "wishful thinking."

So sad that he chose to believe in a fairytale instead of science. Most folks have forgotten this, but he was called "The Duke" because of his relation to John Wayne (whose original name was Marion Morrison). He was so good looking and such a great fighter. It hurt my heart to hear he was gone.

It's a shame that Morrison died, when he could still be living. Something should be done against those who still believe that the aids virus is not the cause of aids. They should be held accountable for the lives they have taken.

I'm so glad you addressed this, Shawn. Frankly, I figured this guy had died long ago, since his views were most likely going to kill him. And they did. Thanks, though, for putting his actions into perspective. He existed in an environment -- straight, macho, homophobic, etc. -- in which it would probably have been more surprising if he had, in fact, embraced his HIV status and openly dealt with it. It makes me all the more grateful for straight men like you, who are living openly with their status. Now, you're no professional boxer, don't get me wrong. But the whole rock musician vibe is butch enough. Just. :)
