Thought provoking and worthwhile read. I was raised by Feminists to be as color blind as possible,yet I have seen this operative principle saturate the Tribe. Especially when it comes to the trauma of getting to that point where you admit to a prospective Partner that you are HIV+. I was very lucky. I found Prince Charming and he too is HIV+. We got married this last year between the Election and Inauguration. But I know it could have easily gone the other way.
I am a white heterosexual female. I have been positive for 20 years. I am not alone anymore. I do not understand why a magazine that is targeted for positive people are driven only by the gay community. We as heterosexual women are becoming just as large as the gay male communty. As for this article, one of the biggest issues that is dividing this country is the media. Trump is our president now. I am disgusted that the media always has something derogatory to say about him.

Cmon now. LGBT People have been suffering discrimination since the dawn of mankind. What makes you as a LGBT Person think we are new to this. The divide between the Black Community and LGBT People has to do with the cultural attachment of Black Americans to fundamentalist Christianity,which tells them there is something wrong with them because of their sexuality. The divide will continue as long as the church wields power over LGBT People of Color. Until this changes I have no need of advice.
We have to look at ourselves. As a hiv pos gay white male republican with two children, I've never heard trump say anything negative about gay people except the marriage issue was decided by the supreme court. I've also heard "Mad Dog" say he doesn't care who someone sleeps with but wants trained solders who can do the job. While some are burning trash cans and limos owned by a muslems, Many of us are working with the current administration to insure the gains are maintained and continue.

Take it from me ,a 62yr old hiv black male ,all my life some group has to be picked on,early sixties we couldn't eat at lunch counters but you could be sent to Vietnam,AIDS epidemic of the 80's,Mr Falwell said curse from God,now 2017,immigrants ,Arab, Sikh Indians,Jewish community,2 men shot in Olatha,Ks,one Sikh man in Seattle,here in Oklahoma want to pass a religious law to not to serve gays and Muslims,all minority's we need to stick together more than ever ,vote change congress in 2018.
