2021 World AIDS Day Event and Ending the Epidemic Summit


On behalf of the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute (NYSDOH AI), we are pleased to inform you of the 23rd Annual World AIDS Day (WAD) Event and the 2021 Ending the Epidemic (ETE) Summit. Event content will be available and free for all registered attendees from now through June 2022.

The theme for this year’s ETE Summit and WAD events is
“Overcoming Pandemics | ETE and COVID-19”
“From the Ground Up: Over 40 years of Public Health”


It is our goal to highlight many of the important stories and testimonies of determination, courage, hope, and progress that New Yorkers continue to demonstrate each day, despite the many challenges 2020 and 2021 presented.

The 23rd Annual World AIDS Day Event on December 1, 2021 features:
- 7th Annual NYC World AIDS Day Tribute hosted by community partners, in conjunction with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and NYS Department of Health
- HIV 101 school group presentation
- Young adult speaker panel
- Commissioner’s Special Recognition Awards
- Dr. Linda Laubenstein HIV Clinical Excellence Award
- Virtual tour of the AIDS Memorial Quilt
- Exhibitors
- Resources
- Video Montage: From the Ground Up: Over 40 years of Public Health

The 2021 ETE Summit on November 30 and December 2, 2021 features:
