Important notice from AFAN Aid for AIDS of Nevada: Over the past few weeks we have been working with local health officials closely monitoring and evaluating the situation around COVID-19. We want to ensure that we are taking the necessary measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and supporters. As a result, we have made the difficult but important decision to postpone the AIDS Walk & 5K 2020.

The risk of COVID-19 is high among those who have underlying health issues and compromised immune systems. This specifically threatens those living with HIV/AIDS. The situation is changing daily and as we learn more we are adapting our services to protect our clients and provide our staff with the resources they need.

Now more than ever, AFAN needs your support to endure the challenges we are facing. We ask that you continue to donate and fundraise for the AIDS Walk online so that we can provide the best care to our clients. This will ensure that the organization’s services are available to our clients throughout this process.

Our registration & donation site will continue to be available at www.afanlv.org We will have a physical walk & run at a date this year when it is determined to be safe. We will update you regarding the rescheduled date of our event on our social media, website and emails.

Your sponsorship is essential to us being able to continue services to our clients. We will honor the sponsorship level benefits at the rescheduled event date. We will continue to highlight sponsors on our website, fundraising site, and social media. We are currently working on an alternative digital event in the meantime that will also feature all of the event sponsors. We will share this with you as soon as possible.

AIDS Walk Las Vegas is one of the most visible, longstanding, and recognizable events in the city attracting more than 5,000 participants annually. This year in honor of our Walk’s 30th Anniversary we are adding a 5k RUN!

This event helps those living with HIV / AIDS in Southern Nevada. 100% of the money raised stays in our community.
