CHI World AIDS Day Walk (Miami)
With Florida among the top five states with HIV cases, 150,000 Floridians afflicted with the disease, and minorities disproportionately affected, Community Health of South Florida Inc. (CHI) will hold a World AIDS Day Walk to raise awareness of this health issue at 8:30 am, Saturday, Dec. 3 at JL (Joe) and Enid W. Demps Park in Cutler Bay, 11350 SW 216 Street, Miami, Fla.
World AIDS Day encourages people to come together to tear down the barriers that prevent people from accessing HIV testing, prevention, and access to treatment so that we can put an end to HIV/AIDS around the globe.
We’ll hear from special guest speaker Ashley Nicole Cason, MBA, who is a long-term HIV survivor, national advocate and CEO of Her Voice, a platform that supports HIV-positive people.
There will be free testing and education:

- Blood Pressure
- Glucose

- Speaker Presentation + Warm up: 8:30 a.m.
- Walk Begins: 9:00 a.m.
