Dining Out For Life Houston

Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, corporate sponsors and restaurants. The concept is simple: Restaurants donate a generous percent of their sales to a local HIV service organization, and the local HIV service organization fills participating restaurants with diners. Participating is even easier: locate a Dining Out For Life event in a city near you, find a restaurant from the list of participating locations, and on that city’s event date: Dine Out to End HIV.

Each year, more than 50 local HIV service organizations partner with 2,400+ participating restaurants, 4,100+ volunteers, and 300,000+ diners to raise over $4.5 million for people living with HIV/AIDS in the United States and Canada. Dining Out For Life returns for it’s 27th year in Indianapolis on June 17, 2021!

Since 1991 AIDS Foundation Houston has been presenting this annual event to raise much needed funds for the 28,000 men, women, and children in Houston who are infected with HIV and another 20% who are unaware of their status.

Between 2006 and 2010 infections in Houston have grown 10%. In 2013 there were 1,200 new infections in Houston which is more than San Francisco (359) and Dallas (768) in the same year. Together we can reduce the number of new infections to zero.

This year approximately 40 restaurants will be selected to participate in Houston’s Dining Out for Life. Please check back to view the list and frequent the restaurants who are helping to make Houston healthy.
