HIV Action Day
Your movement needs you! Today President Trump released his “skinny” budget. While we are heartened by the administration’s support of the Ryan White Care Act, PEPFAR and the Global Fund, we are very concerned about the lack of details. We look forward to working with Congress to insure adequate support to end the HIV epidemic.
HIV Action Day is scheduled for September 6th, the day prior to the start of the United States Conference on AIDS. The skinny budget has cut or eliminated many important programs, it’s going to be a fight and our movement cannot afford to stand on the sidelines. If we don’t support and advocate for HIV funding and programs, who will? Register today, its free! Congress is in session on Sep. 6th so your members can see you.
This year’s action day is co-produced by AIDS United, NASTAD, National Coalition of STD Directors, NMAC and The AIDS Insititute. Our movement is stronger when we work together.
To make HIV Action Day more accessible and affordable, we’ve made several significant changes:
- Policy Training Via Webinars
- Later Start Time
- USCA’s Opening Reception @ Congress
- Scholarship Recipients Required to Participate
